I tried to "eyeball" the correct crank key position before using this tool. I was at least on tooth off from where the crank should have been once I put this tool on to verify the correct position. From that little test, I'd recommend getting this tool before changing the 4.6L OHC timing chains. (Posted on 7/16/2018)
