Install can be a bit difficult for inexperienced people. I made the mistake of not marking the chain or phaser well enough and had the cam rotate a quarter turn. Had to go further than i wanted to correct my mistake (Posted on 9/22/2022) - good sh*t Review by Arlo

I have a 2004 F-150 that decided throw a P0012 code - Over Retarded-Bank 1. I knew this day would come since buying the truck 7 years ago. Bought this kit assuming just phasers. Well once we got the valve covers off, found pieces of timing guide that had gotten into the phaser area and bent a tab on the phaser. I knew I should've went with the whole timing kit. Anyways, new timing chain, guides, oil pump, water pump, power steering pump, locked out phasers... Truck runs the best it ever has with the 5 Star tune on it. After 7 years of driving the truck, I'll have to get used to it being so quite. no more phaser tick.Rating

Do not run your vehicle with the VCT Elimination Kit, until you install your free tune file. There are no returns allowed on the Tuner.
A tuner is required for use with these lockouts. Also, the lockouts will only work with Ford OEM phasers.
