This tool, with the aid of a hydraulic press, makes short work of rear wheel bearings on semi-floating rear ends such as the Toyota and similar designs. I bought it specifically to do bearings on a 1992 Isuzu Trooper. The tool must be used with an adapter plate for that vehicle, and note item 09521-60010-01 does not work for this axle, so I had to make my own adapter plate. Don't even try this game if you have any less than a 25-ton press. It took all the press had to press the axle shaft down through both the bearing and retainer, but it got the job done. There's no way a bearing splitter or even the Isuzu factory tool would've held up, so this tool gets 5 stars. (Posted on 3/25/2019)Rating
