I needed a better locking tool for Hyundai Kia mainly for the 3.5L V6 Rear Cam Sprockets. The tool number is the same on Hyundai and Kia side. They are made of a high grade plastic but again as long as you are not trying to force these locks in then they are the best. Ever other cam lock is the weird general 2 to 7 piece cam locks that have you articulate them to a position that looks sketchy even for a quick crank sensor replacement where you need to remove the tensioner or water pump only replacement. This is a two piece and I believe they work for some twin/ dual cam 4 cylinder models as well.
The price is decent where I was shopping as well. The price will differ $5-30 depending on where you are and how you order them. I believe Kent Miller is more expensive at almost 50 before tax and shipping.
Freedom Racing shipping isn’t updated but I thought it would be forever and it only took less than a week. That’s good to know when you plan ahead for jobs or knowing you are going to be doing a lot of these engines ahead.
Their price was on the low end with the same result in purchase.
They work great and even though there is a larger kit out there for multiple engines the small bag it comes in is good enough to store in a small compartment of a tool box or pack out depending on how you work in shop or mobile. (Posted on 12/20/2022)
While they do work for what they are meant for their design and instructions are not the best. I have no clue what side is RH and which is LH. The RH one went in fine but the LH one got stuck so I ended up settling for half way in so it slipped out. They aren't very user friendly but they will work in a pinch. (Posted on 6/7/2022)

Yep, I did the timing job without this pair of cam lockers. It was awful.
