This wrench set is exactly what I was looking for to remove the PCV valve (Isuzu calls it a "ventilator") from the 5.2L 4HK1-TC Isuzu diesel engine. To be specific, the truck has an Isuzu powertrain, but it is badged as a 2008 Chevrolet W4500 1 1/2 ton tilt cab.
This kit comes with both sizes necessary for removal and installation, as there are two different-sized bolts on this unit. I contacted lsuzu for pricing and availability on this tool and was quoted $250 and 2 weeks lead-time. We tried fabricating the tool in our shop (we are not a machine shop) and failed after spending about 3 hours making the tool.
Considering that Isuzu powerplants are not something we normally service, this kit is absolutely worth its cost on freedomracing.com (Posted on 10/2/2020)
The overall experience was great. The website was easy to use, and the product was shipped and delivered quickly. It would be five stars if the pricing were a little better. Not that is cheaper anywhere else; it was just ridiculously priced for what it is. That is not a reflection on Freedom Racing, more on Kent More, but what else do you expect from a Bosch company.
