This is a High-Quality Stallion Alternative Tool!

This tool will work on 2WD and AWD applications when installed into the flywheel through the starter mounting location.

Required to hold the engine stationary while tightening the harmonic balancer to specs.

Use J-44716 (ST-301) or J-50288 on 3.5L VQ35DE. (Workshop manuals are often wrong regarding this job. You'll need to contact us with the VIN so we can look for any ring gear TSB's to determine which of the two tools you'll need.)
Use J-48641 on 3.5L VQ35HR & 3.7L VQ37VHR.
Use J-44716 (ST-301) or J-48761 (ST-310) on 4.0L VQ40 & VQ40DE. See TSB Ring Gear. (Workshop manuals are often wrong regarding this job. You'll need to contact us with the VIN so we can look for any ring gear TSB's to determine which of the two tools you'll need.)
