I have a 2008 f150 5.4 3v. This works with the engine in or out of the truck perfectly. It can remove spring so you can replace the valve guide seals or compress the springs so you can remove/replace the roller followers. Easy to use. Intuitive. Gets the job done correctly. I have the spring compressor OEMTool 24429 and was unable to replace the intake spring after replacing the valve stem seal. I purchased the 303-1039 spring compressor from freedom racing to finish replacing the stem seal. It works great for replacing the roller or springs. You can lock it in place when replacing the valve stem keeps. The only issues is limited space in the 2004-2008 f150 engine compartment. (Posted on 6/7/2022)

Makes installation of the roller followers a breeze. The only negative I can say is you have to remove a few extra parts to use it on pick-ups. One thing I would change is I would add magnets to the legs that contact the camshaft, to aide in installing the exhaust followers. A little oil goes a long way in ease of use (Posted on 6/10/2021)
I like the quality of this tool. The multiple feet are nice depending on if you are changing valve springs or installing cam followers. If you are replacing springs its difficult to do by yourself as the tool doesn't lock in the compressed position. You have to constantly hold pressure and try to get the valve spring retainers in place. Kind of a pain in the butt.
