CH-48809 Torsion Bar Unloader 7832

Applications: 2011 and newer GMT900 HD Silverado/Sierra

Current torsion bar tension tools are too small to accomodate the torsion bar suspension used on 2011 Heavy Duty C/K Trucks. CH-48809 is required to safely release the tension on the front suspension torsion bar in order to service the front suspension components. In order to do this, a clamp, called a torsion bar unloader, can be positioned on the frame and the torsion bar mount. The drive screw of the torsion bar unloader is tightened, removing pressure on the torsion bar mount. The mount can then be removed along with the torsion bar. Failure to use CH-48809 could result in personal injury, component damage and/or increased labor time.
